چکیده

1.1 This test method covers three procedures for extraction and measurement of gases dissolved in electrical insulating oil having a viscosity of 20 cSt (100 SUS) or less at 40°C (104°F), and the identification and determination of the individual component gases extracted. Other methods have been used to perform this analysis. 1.2 The individual component gases that may be identified and determined include: Hydrogen—H2 Oxygen—O2 Nitrogen—N2 Carbon monoxide—CO Carbon dioxide—CO2 Methane—CH4 Ethane—C2H6 Ethylene—C2H4 Acetylene—C2H2 Propane—C3H8 Propylene—C3H6

Comparison of Dissolved Gases in Mineral and Vegetable Insulating Oils under Typical Electrical and Thermal Faults

Dissolved gas analysis (DGA) is attracting greater and greater interest from researchers as a fault diagnostic tool for power transformers filled with vegetable insulating oils. This paper presents experimental results of dissolved gases in insulating oils under typical electrical and thermal faults in transformers. The tests covered three types of insulating oils, including two types of vegeta...

A Heuristic Approach to the Diagnosis of Transformer’s Insulating Oil

The transformer plays so important equipment in power system that engineers take more measures on the insulating oil of transformer by diagnosis. The dissolved gas analysis (DGA) is an effective technique for detecting incipient faults in oil-immersed power transformers. So the paper investigates the DGA methods, while employ the ANSI/IEEE C57.104 standards and the Key Gas diagnosis rules as ba...

A Hybrid Diagnosis Approach on Transformer’s Insulating Oil

The immersed-oil power transformer is so vital equipment in power system that maintenanceengineers take more monitor from transformer’s insulating oil to diagnose what is condition of operation. Then the dissolved gas analysis (DGA) is known for an effective technique on detecting incipient faults in oil-immersed power transformers. In this paper, a practical method is presented which consists ...

Laser Calorimetry Spectroscopy for ppm-level Dissolved Gas Detection and Analysis

In this paper we report a newly developed technique - laser calorimetry spectroscopy (LCS), which is a combination of laser absorption spectroscopy and calorimetry - for the detection of gases dissolved in liquids. The technique involves determination of concentration of a dissolved gas by irradiating the liquid with light of a wavelength where the gas absorbs, and measuring the temperature cha...

Fuzzy-Logic Applications in Transformer Diagnosis Using Individual and Total Dissolved Key Gas Concentrations

The gases generated in oil filled transformer can be used for determination of incipient faults. Dissolved gas analysis (DGA) of transformer oil has been one of the most power full methods to detect the faults. The various methods such as liquid chromatography, acoustic analysis, and transformer function techniques are require some experience to interpret observations. The researchers have used...
